Do you accept insurance?
Yes — HALO offers insurance-based therapy sessions in addition to private-pay options, including Accountability-Enhanced Therapy.
How much does a therapy session cost?
Private-pay psychotherapy sessions are $200 per session.
What is Accountability-Enhanced Therapy, and does it cost more than a standard session?
It's a private-pay option that pairs your weekly live session with structured, therapist-reviewed feedback on between-session work, at $260 per session. An optional messaging accountability via HIPPA-compliant platform add-on which is available for $100 per month for brief check-ins between sessions.
What are the response times and boundaries for the texting/messaging add-on?
Messaging is for brief accountability check-ins on goals set in session, not real-time or crisis support. Replies are provided within one business day, Monday–Friday. If you're experiencing a mental health emergency, call 911 or the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline — HALO does not provide emergency or crisis intervention services.
How much does an immigration psychological evaluation cost?
A comprehensive immigration hardship evaluation including a 120-minute evaluation and full written report is $1,200. Expedited report turnaround is available for an additional $450.

What waivers do your evaluations support?
Evaluations are prepared to support I-601 and I-601A hardship waiver applications submitted to USCIS.
How is the report delivered to my attorney?
Reports are prepared collaboratively with your immigration attorney and submitted according to your case timeline; expedited turnaround is available for an additional fee.
Can you expedite an evaluation if my court date or filing deadline is close?
Yes — expedited report turnaround is available for an additional $450. Reach out as early as possible so we can confirm timing against your deadline.
Do you evaluate qualifying relatives who live outside New York State?
Evaluations are currently limited to adults (18+) located in New York State, conducted via secure telehealth.
Can you communicate directly with my attorney during the evaluation process?
Yes — evaluations are prepared collaboratively with your immigration attorney, with direct communication throughout the process to make sure the report supports your case.
